Some years it's the big Thanksgiving table. Some years it's Christmas morning by the fire. Either way, I keep getting the same question this time of year: which one do we book?

Honest answer: this house works for both. The kitchen seats eight for a real feast. The fireplace stays lit all December. The rooms fit a crowd whichever holiday you choose.

What doesn't wait is the calendar. Pick the week that matters most to your group, then reserve it before someone else does. Dates are open now, link in bio.

Christmas week here means the hot tub is already steaming before anyone's bags are unpacked, and the fire in the keeping room gets going 10 minutes after you all walk through the front door. Kids and pets are welcome right alongside everyone else, so nobody's left home for the holidays. Four bedrooms means everyone actually gets a corner of their own, and the kitchen's set up for whatever your family decides to cook together this year. Holiday week dates are still available, but don't wait long . Find yours through the link in bio.

Ski resorts in the Catskills are about 45 minutes from the front door, close enough for a full morning on the slopes without losing the day to driving. By afternoon you're back in the Hudson Valley, wandering Saugerties or Woodstock for a dinner that isn't off a resort menu, or a shop that isn't a gift kiosk by the lift line. Then home to a quiet room, down bedding, and the fireplace ready to light up. Nowhere else to be after that.

Nature’s first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf’s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay. -Robert Frost
